What is Watermark PDF?
Stamp CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, your company name or any other text diagonally across every page. Useful for marking documents before circulating them, and for discouraging unauthorised reuse of drafts.
How to use Watermark PDF
- Choose the PDF you want to watermark.
- Type the watermark text — CONFIDENTIAL and DRAFT are common choices.
- Set the opacity so it is visible but does not obscure the text underneath.
- Adjust the font size to suit your page dimensions, then click “Add watermark”.
Why use this tool?
Signals document status instantly
A DRAFT stamp prevents an unfinished version being mistaken for the final one — a common and costly mix-up.
Applied to every page
Watermarking runs across the whole document, so no page can be circulated without the marking.
Frequently asked questions
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn into the page content rather than added as an annotation, so it cannot simply be deleted in a reader. A determined editor with the right tools could still alter it — treat it as a deterrent, not security.
Why does ₹ or my language not appear?
The built-in PDF font covers Latin characters only. Unsupported characters are removed and ₹ is written as “Rs.” so the file stays valid.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on Toolraq runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device — there is no upload endpoint at all. You can verify this yourself by opening your browser’s DevTools Network tab while you use the tool.
